CSUEB Teacher Ed. Dept. seeks public comments

The College of Education and Allied Studies at ߣߣÊÓÆµ, East Bay is scheduled for an accreditation review by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) April 18-22, 2009.

Federal regulations require that accrediting agencies allow for public comment on the qualifications of institutions or ߣߣÊÓÆµ under consideration for first accreditation or continuing accreditation.

"The College of Education and Allied Studies at CSUEB takes accountability seriously," said Jodi Servatius, interim dean of the college. "We welcome comments from graduates of our education ߣߣÊÓÆµ. Such feedback is important in our continual improvement effort and is greatly appreciated."

Graduates, parents, as well as representatives from schools and community organizations have valuable perspectives on the quality of the ߣߣÊÓÆµ that prepare teachers and other school personnel and are invited to submit written testimony about Cal State East Bay's College of Education and Allied Studies.

Comments must be received no later than April 1, 2009.

Comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of professional education ߣߣÊÓÆµ offered at Cal State East Bay and should specify the respondent's relationship, if any, to the institution (such as graduate, present or former faculty member, employer of graduates). Copies of all correspondence received will be sent to Cal State East Bay for comment prior to the review. No anonymous testimony will be considered.
